We are slowly approaching the end of summer season — which means fall is almost here. Earlier this year, I wrote this blog post about my spring seasonal allergies. I mentioned in this article that sometimes my allergies used to get so bad that I avoided going out.  A couple of years back though, I started taking Reactine after a friend recommended it to me, and it’s helped a ton with all my allergy symptoms. The best part is that I no longer fear going out — even when the pollen index gets more intense.

This summer, I was able to enjoy all my favourite activities: go on picnics, go cycling, swim with friends at the pool. What I was really excited about is that this year for the first time, I was able to fully take care of all our flowers, plants and vegetables growing on our balcony without dealing with any allergy symptoms. We have these huge planters that provide us with a bit of intimacy and they are full of silvergrass – which I love, but I used to have pretty bad allergic reactions to. Needless to say, it was a great summer

Now, while I’ve had my spring allergies under control for a couple years, it was only last year that I discovered that September and October is ragweed season in Quebec. I couldn’t figure out why my symptoms acted up so badly in the fall. I used to think I had a cold, and then I discovered it was seasonal allergies, caused by ragweed.

Now that the fall season is slowly approaching, I’m getting ready for enjoying sweater weather outdoors. I can’t wait to take vacations at the beginning of autumn and hop on a few road trips with my friends. I have a lot of outdoor travel coming up for some photo shoots, so I know I’ll be packing some Reactine to be ready for any adventure.
